I had the luck to cross paths with Mohammed Ali - twice. The first time was on a phone repair call to his estate in Hancock Park off Wilshire Blvd. In the old days your repair ticket usually had DBA on the top, (Doing Business As). This was to protect the residence’s privacy. Lots of phonemen sold info. to National Enquirer's and their ilk for easy side money, or, to the tour guide operators.

Sept. 2008 #6: The Unbelievable Bike Club got it's start when passers-by would stop and stare at Hector Alamillo's custom made "unbelievable" bike in his store window. "Wow they would say I've never seen anything like that. It's unbelievable!" Anthony Alamillo, Hector's son, had come home one day and said "Dad you ought to get into selling bicycles" and so the idea for a business building and selling bicycles was born into the Alamillo family.

Mar. 2009: Jackie Lomax was Apples first signed artist, close friend and associate of The Beatles and part of the British Invasion as singer/bassist for The Undertakers. The world has never seen a phenomena like the popularity of The Beatles and Jackie was on the inside of the British Invasion when groups like - The Kinks, the Who, the Small Faces, The Rolling Stones, the Yardbirds, and Gerry and the Pacemakers were just coming out of the UK. This year Cavern tours is hosting Beatles Week revisiting the 40th anniversary of the Beatles famous “good-bye” concert on the Rooftop of Apple Records in London. Jackie Lomax will be a guest host and musician for the tour and will be leaving for Great Britain in August. Recording, playing, composing Jackie is a living Rock n’ Roll legend. He’s Liverpool Slim.
